Veep Bawumia Consoles the Rawlings' Family
The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on behalf of the government and the people of Ghana commiserated with the family of the former President Flt. Lt. (Rtd.) Jerry John Rawlings over the death of his mother, Madam Victoria Agbotui.
The Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday commiserated with the family of the Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings over the demise of his mother, Madam Victoria Agbotui.
The Veep accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Osei-Opare, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, Energy Minister John Peter Amewu, Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and other government officials consoled Mr. Rawlings, on behalf of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Madam Victoria Agbotui who celebrated her 101 years on September 9, 2020, died last week after a short illness.
Mr. Rawlings expressed gratitude to Dr. Bawumia for the visit and assured him that the necessary funeral arrangements will be made available soon.
