"Slay" Removed From Netflix Platform After Wendy Shay's Threat

It could be remembered that Wendy Shay some days back threatened to sue the producers of "Slay" when she found out they used her songs "All For You"  as the movie’s soundtrack without her consent.

She took to social media to register her displeasure and gave the producers a chance to make things right.

In her post, she wrote “So, I watched this movie last night on Netflix and my song, ‘All for you’ was featured without my consent or that of my management. Producers of the movie ‘Slay’, it is a crime to use someone’s intellectual property without her consent. Kindly do the needful or I will see y’all in court”

Netflix flagged Slay and removed it from the platform, however, neither the streaming site nor the has said anything officially concerning the mishap.

"Slay" Produced by Elvis Chucks and directed by Adze Ugah, features stars like Ramsey Nouah, Idris Sultan, Amanda du-Pont and Ghanaian actors such as Kalybos and Bismark The Joke. The comedy premiered on the streaming platform on April 26, 2021.
