Controversial Ghanaian dancehall and afrobeat artist Charles Nii Armah also known as Shatta Wale has rendered an apology to the road contractors whom he was allegedly assaulted yesterday during a misunderstanding.

Controversial Ghanaian dancehall and afrobeat artist Charles Nii Armah also known as Shatta Wale has rendered an apology to the road contractors whom he was allegedly assaulted yesterday during a misunderstanding.


Video went viral which the SM Movement boss and his Nima boys caused confusion on the East Legon road which was under construction. According to reports, one Mr Kennedy Acquah alleged that he has been assaulted by the artist during the brawl in the late hours of yesterday, May 31st, 2021.

The apology came hours after the project manager at Oswal Investment Limited, Kenneth Acquah demanded a public apology from Shatta Wale for ordering some thugs to attack him and other road construction workers.

Shatta Wale took to his social media page and rendered an apology to the assaulted contractors. He said, “Hi, my name is Shatta Wale as you all know and I believe that there is some news circulating around me and having a fight with some contractors, and like I’m saying, the man in question is my dad, my friend.”

“He’s somebody that I always wanted to meet but it’s so unfortunate things had to happen this way but I also want to say sorry to Kennedy for everything that happened. I believe he will find a place in his heart to forgive me…’’

The musician also denied paying the said contractor any amount of money for the construction.

“To all the bloggers too that are saying I’ve given some contractor 4 million Ghana cedis. I believe you guys should really stop circulating false news. I’ve not given nobody 4 million Ghana cedis or dollars..” he said.
