The headmaster of Banka Community Day School, Omar Ahmed Ampong, has indicated that the isolated location of the school which is far from the neighbouring communities is a great challenge compelling parents to hire a room for their wards in the nearby community.

Mr Omar made this known during the inauguration of the school's board members where he pleaded with the Ghana education service to quicken their effort to convert the community day school into a boarding school to help accommodate the scattering of students and teachers to ensure adequate monitoring and supervision to reduce these unplanned pregnancies.

The Municipal Director of education in the Ashanti Akyem South, Mrs Elizabeth Davis, gracing the occasion stated that the girl child coordinator has putten things in place to train both parents and children on teenage pregnancy.
