Pardon Black Stars for their Poor Performance – GFA’s Asante Twum
Ghanaians have been urged to let go the disappointment that characterised, the aftermath of the Black Stars losing, to Mali in a friendly game on Friday.
The Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Henry Asante Twum has pleaded with Ghanaians, to forgive the senior national team for the abysmal performance they put up against Mali on Friday.
The Black Stars lost a whooping 3 nil, against West African opponent, Eagles of Mali at a friendly match.
Speaking in an interview on FOX FM, Mr. Asante Twum admitted that the results came as a shocker to football fans across the country.
“Ghanaians should forgive us for such a poor performance from the Black Stars and expect a better game against Qatar come Monday”.
“We were all not pleased with the performance of the Black Stars, considering the previous training at camp; we expected a better result and performance from the Black Stars, but what we witnessed yesterday was abysmal,” he added.
The Black Stars will play their second friendly game against Qatar on Monday ahead of their preparations for next month's AFCON qualifiers.
