Over One thousand plus pigs in Nkoranza South in the Bono East region have died within a month after they tested positive for the African swine fever virus.
Ms Perpetual Akrobeto the Nkoranza south municipal veterinary officer said, that for the past month her administration recorded numerous reports from farmers about pigs’ death which is a pity.
She, therefore, urged pig farmers to sell or isolates affected as soon as possible to minimize loss. Also, there should be regular spraying with recommended insecticide before it's too late.
