The Ashanti Regional Communications Officer for the opposing NDC, Abass Nurudeen has said that, although LGBTQI can be legalized due to some concerns some Ministers are raising such as, two adults who are at the age of 18 years and above are free to take such an action and shouldn’t be the concern of the state, he still thinks, they can not operate an office here in the state with their advocacy.

He explained this today with Kwaku Kyeremateng Nkansah, the host of the Fox FM morning Drive that, there is nowhere in Ghana’s Constitution states that LGBTQI is a human right and therefore those in the act must be protected with rights as provided for by the constitution to all Ghanaians such act.

He further quoted article 21 of the Ghana Constitution that, A person cannot be discriminated based on sex and therefore can’t separate morality from the law, but if your right will conflict in National Security, Public Morality or Public Safety then that right should be taken from you which means since Homosexuality right affects our collective morality as a society, should not be legalized.

He added that any inappropriate cultural values which are been taught in society should not be accepted.
