Kontihene Quits Music
Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng who is popularly known as Kontihene during his interaction with the ace broadcaster, Abeiku Aggrey Santana on his program, Atuu has revealed that he is quitting music.
One of Ghana's best Hiplife artistes who proved the genre of music during his regime stage, Kontihene has revealed that he has quit music for good.
Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng who appeared as a guest on UTV's program "Atuu" which is hosted by ace broadcaster, Abeiku Aggrey Santana disclosed that he feels the time has come for him to bow out and thread on a different path altogether as God will dictate to him.
Kontihene became the first artiste in the history of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to be the first newcomer to grab the topmost award with his album Nyankonton in 2001. That album spun the evergreen song Aketesia and other hit songs.
Perhaps his sudden quietness might be the competitiveness in the music scene recently which has been dominated heavily by Team-based artistes led by Sarkodie and Dancehall artistes like Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
