Joleon Lescott Signs For Spanish Third - Division Side Racing Murcia

 Ex-Everton and Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has signed for Spanish third-division side Racing Murcia to play in their Copa del Rey clash with Levante. Details of his contract are still not certain, but it is rumored he signed for Racing Murcia just to play a game against Levante in the Copa del Rey.

The former England international won two Premier League titles with the Citizens and retired in 2017. During his playing days in England, Lescott lost two FA Cup finals with Everton and Manchester City but managed to win the same competition back in 2011. Racing Murcia is currently in seventh place in Group B of Group 13 in the Spanish Segunda B or Third Division.

They won their last game by 4-0 against Lorca which happens to be their first win of the season. Meanwhile, Levante on the other hand is currently struggling in the relegation zone in the Spanish La Liga. They are currently two points from safe
