It's Risky To Live Under Electricity Poles

The Ashanti Regional Public Relation Manager for the Electricity Company of Ghana, Mr Erasmus Kyere Baidoo has reiterated the need for people to distance themselves from living closer to high tension electricity poles.

Mr Erasmus Kyere Baidoo said the impact of transmission of electricity through these cables is not good for human beings to live under those cables.

Mr Baidoo related the capacity of 170,00o kilowatts of electricity which to him, do not mean to be housed under these dangerous elements.

330,000 kilowatts poles have the potential of creating several health hazards and will therefore not be useful for residential accommodation as well as operating any commercial entities along or under these dangerous transmission lines.
