Hunters, Chainsaw Operators And Illegal Miners Cautioned To Stay Away From Forest Reserves- Forestry Manager
The Ashanti regional manager of the forestry commission, Mr Augustine Kofi Gyedu has cautioned recalcitrant invaders to desist from acts that could land them into serious trouble. He said illegal miners, chainsaw operators, hunters etc who invade forests illegally should desist.

The Ashanti regional manager of the forestry commission, Mr Augustine Kofi Gyedu has cautioned recalcitrant invaders to desist from acts that could land them into serious trouble. He said illegal miners, chainsaw operators, hunters etc who invade forests illegally should desist.
According to him, their acts of illegalities are against the rules of this country, and anyone found culpable will be dealt with. He mentioned how the commission is very serious to clamp down on such recalcitrant people were pleaded with Ghanaians to involve themselves in the fight.
The Regional Manager in the course of the interaction, also revealed that the commission is targeting to plant four (4) million trees in the region this year, 2022.
According to him, this forms part of the Commission’s mission to plant 20 million trees across the country this year. The commitment, he said, is to help replace Ghana’s deteriorating green forest. “We’ve targeted to plant 20 million trees this year across the country.
