The President of the Ghana National Cocoa Farmers Association (GNACOFA), Mr Stephen Anane Boateng, has revealed the association’s plans to organise intensive training for all members.
The training would help farmers improve the quality and quantity of cocoa production in Ghana with the collaboration of the Intensive Education Opportunity Program (EIOP).
Speaking to FOX NEWS Ekuoba Gyasi Mr Anane Boateng said the training would be organised for only cocoa farmers who have registered as members of the Ghana National Cocoa Farmers Association, therefore, other farmers who would like to partake should contact the authorities for registration.
He said farmers would be required to pay a small amount which will serve as a commitment fee to enable them to realize the essence of the training.
Also, the farmers would get capital to invest in their cocoa farms. And this, the president believes it’ll increase the productivity of cocoa in Ghana, encourage them and also better the lives of cocoa farmers in the country as well.
Mr Anane Boateng added that farmers will be given a certificate for their participation.
He has encouraged all cocoa farmers to attain membership of the association in other to benefit from the training and other life-transforming initiatives which are yet to be revealed by the association.
