Accident in the country has led to the loss of lives and property in the country. Drivers, Police, Government and Road Officers are trying their best to curb road accidents in the country but to no avail.

Accident in the country has led to the loss of lives and property in the country. Drivers, Police, Government and Road Officers are trying their best to curb road accidents in the country but to no avail. 

During a conference held in Accra, the Minister of Transport, Hon. Kweku Ofori Asiamah stated that 11,858 accidents have occurred from January to September this year. 

He indicated that out of the accident, 2,126 people have died this year. He further indicated that drivers are mostly the cause of the accident in the country.
 

Kwesi Agyeman Busia, the CEO of DVLA also mentioned that the government is working towards changing the Road Act 2004. 

He said, drivers mostly cause an accident because most of them take in alcohol. Some are involved in over-speeding, overloading.
