Cashew Farmers At Derma-Ada Cry Over Continue Bush Fire Attacks

Cashew farmers at Derma--Ada in the Tano south municipality of Ahafo region are crying over continued bush fire attacks from unknown individuals citizens destroying their farm products. Speaking to  Fox FM's Abena Konadu Kyei in an interview, some of the affected farmers shared their grievances about the situation which is discouraging them from efforts to support the government on food security in the country.

Cashew farmers at Derma--Ada in the Tano south municipality of Ahafo region are crying over continued bush fire attacks from unknown individuals citizens destroying their farm products.

Speaking to  Fox FM's Abena Konadu Kyei in an interview, some of the affected farmers shared their grievances about the situation which is discouraging them from efforts to support the government on food security in the country.

They used the opportunity to appeal to the minister of agriculture, police service and His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II who is the overLord of the lands to come to their aid.


However, the general manager of MASKAYA  cashew plantation Limited, Mr Addae Mensah expressed worry about the situation which is affecting their much-invested agribusiness in cashew plantation.

 He said, he has lost his 40-50 acres of cashew farm has been burnt by unknown citizens in the district.
