CAF Confederations Cup Draw: Asante Kotoko Drawn With ES Setif Of Tunisia
Kotoko will host the North African side at home next month on February 14th with the return leg set to also take place in Algeria on February 21st.
Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have been drawn against Algerian side ES Setif in the CAF Confederations Cup competition.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered elimination from the CAF Champions League against Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman.
Asante Kotoko SC therefore dropped to the CAF Confederations Cup and will host the North African side at home next month on February 14th.
The return leg will also take place in Algeria on February 21st after the first leg in Ghana.
The Porcupine Warriors failed to raise a team to face Al Hilal in Sudan after six of their players tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic.
Asante Kotoko whose elimination from the CAF Champions League have been the talk of town due to the circumstances of their exit will have to be at their maximum best to be able to eliminate their Algerian counterparts to book a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
