A/R: NPP Primaries- NDC Sets Spies, Hopes To Make Strive Of 15 Seats

As the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) gears up for polls to elect constituency executives, it has emerged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is taking a keen interest in such internal election of their political opponent.

According to information, NDC plans to push and sponsor faceless individuals seeking to become executives for NPP at constituency, regional and national levels for obvious political reasons.

A leading member of NDC in the Ashanti Region, Kwasi Agyeman Ofori Boadi on Fox Morning Drive hosted by John Marfo ( Sir John ) disclosed that NDC is bent to infiltrate the rank and file of NPP head of the 2024 elections.

“Out of the forty-seven constituencies, I will make sure at least NDC put out their 15 favourite candidates to contest some seats as part of our strategy to 2024 election. We are going to win those parliamentary seats in the Ashanti Region from NPP”, the former Obuasi Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) disclosed.

Kwasi Agyeman Ofori Boadi, popularly called King Zuba said during a panel discussion.

“We'll deploy people underground to achieve this target. We have done our analysis as a part, it is for us only sponsor some people”, he stated.

King Zuba, however, concluded that those constituencies it has targeted will not be named until the final determination.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional branch of the NPP party is sharply divided, and political analysts are predicting danger for the party in the region should the current happenings remain the same as they move to elect constituency executives.

More names have emerged to contest the Regional Executive positions, and it is assumed they are being pushed into the race to cause “confusion” to serve the interest of some aspirants who have an interest in contesting for positions at the national level.

It has also been alleged some incumbent regional executives who are responsible for organizing the elections in the constituencies and the regional level have expunged certain names from the delegates' list, creating tension in the region.

We promise to keep you posted as development in the party unfolds.
