Amansie South DCE Declares Commitment To Promote Science And Technology Education

The district chief executive for Amansie south district of Ashanti region, Hon Clement Opoku Gyamfi, CID, has said that education will continue to be his priority hence calling for stakeholders' support to enable quality education in the district. He said, as part of the effort, the assembly has declared its commitment to promoting science and technology education in the district and also commended teachers in the district for their commitment which has supported 107 students to score an aggregate of 6 to15 in the recent BECE results.

He said, as part of the effort, the assembly has declared its commitment to promoting science and technology education in the district and also commended teachers in the district for their commitment which has supported 107 students to score an aggregate of 6 to15 in the recent BECE results.

Hon Clement Opoku Gyamfi was speaking to Newsmen when he presented over 500 dual desks to schools of Amansie south district been supported by Hon Clement Opoku Gyamfi and Friend's project.

He moreover presented education materials to some selected students who performed better in the 2021 BECE results.

The district director of education for the Amansie South, Mr Adu Darko who received the items on behalf of the beneficial schools said it will address the deficit of desks in various schools.

He charged parents to support the fight against children joining Galamsey operators and teenage pregnancy among the school-going children.
