Agric Minister Feeds Over 5,000 Delegates

It has emerged that the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, fed over 5,000 members of the New Patriotic Party  (NPP) who participated in the just-ended National Delegates Conference in Kumasi. It was a feast day and early Christmas for these delegates and party supporters as they had the luxury to choose from the assorted food and drinks at the heroes park.

It has emerged that the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, fed over 5,000 members of the New Patriotic Party  (NPP) who participated in the just-ended National Delegates Conference in Kumasi.


It was a feast day and early Christmas for these delegates and party supporters as they had the luxury to choose from the assorted food and drinks at the heroes park.


The gesture is to give credence to the fact that the government's flagship program under the initiative of Dr Owusu Afriyie at the ministry has been effectively implemented and that Ghanaians are enjoying the benefits of the program.

Hon Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, the former Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency who is credited for the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) program solely sponsored the meals.

The hardworking Minister who has been instrumental in the President Akufo Addo led NPP government according to a report is lacing his boot to contest the flagbearership position of the party.

He is said to be enjoying enormous support from the five Northern Regions as well as the Oti and Volta Regions. His billboard is said to have been scattered all over these regions who reports say have thrown their weight behind the man who is also referred to as Mr Planting for Food and Jobs.
In a press conference organized by some of the delegates in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi, thanked the Ministry of Food and Agriculture for that kind of gesture.
