50,000 people will benefit from this year scholarship scheme-Mr. Kingsley Agyemang
Head of the scholarship secretariat, Mr. Kingsley Agyemang has explained that the scholarship training skills was organized for various stakeholders to prevent some errors the omitted last year
The Head of the scholarship secretariat, Mr. Kingsley Agyamang in an interaction today with the media during the Public Financial Management Training Skills which took off at Sunset Hotel, Danyame stated that the training skills were organized to avoid some mistakes which were made last year.
Detailing the concept of the training, he emphasized that, last year, even though a lot of people benefited from the scheme when the post-audit analysis was conducted, they found out that, a lot of things went wrong which occurred because their workers lacked some in-depth skills.
Mr. Agyemang noted that to avoid such mistakes again, they took it upon themselves to organize the financial management and training skills for various institutions auditors, accountants, and administrations to help ascertain their goals.
He further disclosed that the skills have been divided into three sections, that is the Northern section which has already been held and consist of the three Northern regions, the Middle Belt section which involves the Ashanti region, Bono East, Ahafo, and Western North and the
Southern Sector revealing that the southern sector training skills will kick off on Monday 28, September 2020 which includes Oti region, Volta, Central, Eastern, Greater Accra, and Western.
Mr. Kingsley Agyamng concluded by saying that, last year the Prez invested GHC30 million into the scheme which benefited 29,000 people, and this year he is investing GHC80 million which will benefit 50,000 people so indeed the training skills needed to be conducted to avoid errors.
